GESTALT: The Fifth Day has released today!

This game has been a passion project of mine, which I worked on full time for six weeks in order to complete. I made this game to both work on a story I had with Wicke that has gone untold for a while now, and to get out my own stresses and anxieties that I've been carrying with me. I'm a (very) recent graduate with a B.A. in Digital Art and Animation, and man being a post grad can make you feel things. So I took some time and made this project, with the goal of completing something big, putting my heart into it, and to polish it the best I can. I think as a creative it's important to make and complete things, and being that this is my first completed post-grad project, this game is near and dear to me. 

With that said, please feel free to download at no cost if you wish, and drop any and all feedback if you have it! I want my future projects to be good, and I want to know what has gone right and wrong for a project with the short-scope this one has had. I would love to hear from you, so don't hesitate.

Lastly, some future updates! I don't know when these will occur precisely, but there is a short list of features I wish to add to this game before I decide it's a fully completed project. Aside from the regular bug fixes/errors that may or may not occur, these are the last updates the game is scheduled to receive:

  • SUPER EMMA MODE: 1 of 3 secrets in the game. The first two are within the game already (it's up to you to find them), but this one is the biggest one and is not in the game at this time. What is Super Emma Mode? You'll have to find it within the game and see once it's added!
  • GUIDE: I wish to make a documentation of sorts that acts like a strategy guide. With games this small, there isn't a community big enough to come together and make guides, and since I don't plan on this game being huge, I want to make the guide myself. I personally try not to play horror games with guides, but I know others enjoy it, so I want to consider them. The guide will only cover scenario solutions and flags for certain triggers, but will not reveal any of the game's deeper secrets or hidden scares. Gameplay only!
  • PRODUCTION LOG(?): This one is a maybe. I've kept a production log at my side while making the game, where I've logged myself working on the game in real time. This includes cut ideas, changes, additions, planning, etc. I've never seen a dev release what is essentially a production diary, so I'm considering adding mine for any perspective devs or people who are just curious about how this game was made.

And that's it! The updates are fairly simple in nature, and after that, I've done literally everything else I can think of for this game. I will still continue working out any errors or bugs if there are any present, but that too will stop at some point when there just isn't really anything else to fix.
